Marc Jacobs Dot| Review

Hi everyone today i'm here with a review about a very well know product in the blogging community. It's the Dot perfume by Marc Jacobs. I have seen quite a few bloggers talking about their first impressions by the new honey perfume but as I am nearly finished with Dot I though I would give this a good review.

First of all I love all the colours on the bottle, they stand out and are kind of retro. I only got the small size in this perfume as it was a present and I did not know if I would like it or not. The full sized bottle looks much more elaborate and detailed but this one is cute and dainty. I really like the pearl and the butterfly it makes it look girly and eye-catching. In my opinion Marc Jacobs never fail with their perfume bottles.

The smell is amazing. Its got a couple of floral notes but its very fresh and is great for anytime but I think it's a spring/summer designed scent. I would wear it anytime. I really like how the smell is not to overpowering but will last for a long time. I'm one of these people who get a sore head when a perfume is too strong but this one is fine and does not give me a headache.
Im usually into more fruity perfumes and sweet scents but I really like this smell a lot.

According to the perfume shop website, the perfume is described as being "Dot is a lush juicy floral - happy and vivacious. The top captivates with a delectable blend of red berries, succulent dragon fruit  and sweet honeysuckle. The lush floral heart of the fragrance blooms with addictive jasmine mingled with energizing notes of coconut water and orange blossom. The scent rounds out with a feminine dry down of creamy vanilla, driftwood, and sensual musks."

I think the reason I like this unique scent is because its wearable and because it's light. It's good for school and you can smell the hints of vanilla and blossom in the perfume. I love the packaging to and I think this perfume is brilliant (as you can probably tell by the amount if it i have left)

You can buy this perfume in just about any perfume store as it's pretty popular. On the website the perfume size I have is £38.50 which is a bit pricey but it's a lovely perfume and it lasts a very long time. You can also get it in bigger sizes but it's about 10 pound more.

Thank you for reading my review, please let me know in the comments what's your favourite perfume at the moment. Thanks again, bye!

Favourite Summer Lipstick

So as you already know i am a big lipstick person so i thought i would give you a quick review of my favourite lipstick that i've been enjoying over the last few months. In April we went to Glasgow for Rachels birthday, as usual Rachel persuaded me to buy something, this being the MAC lipstick in 'Costa Chic' costing £14.
As you can see the colour is a very bright coral, and i find coral suites most skin tones especially after you have acquired a tan. This is in the permanent MAC range and is a frost finish. Im not a big fan of the frost finishes but i think this one is very discrete and can be muted by blotting with a paper towel.

The lipstick comes in the usual bullet packaging and comes in the black cardboard box. Hope you enjoyed reading this quick review,

Review: Urban Decay Brow Box

Hey guys so today i thought i would do a review of my most recent makeup purchase. A few weeks ago i went into Debenhams, i was planning to buy the benefit brow zings however i thought that even the lightest colour was too dark for my eyebrows and it is quite expensive at £23.50. So i went to the Urban Decay section and looked there i had been looking at both products for a while just wasn't sure when or where i would buy it. I ended up purchasing the Urban Decay brow box in the colour light for £17 which is still pricey but i knew it would be of good quality due to owning the Naked palette.

The brow box comes with two powders, on the left there is a dark brown and the right a lighter brown which is most worn. I feel that these will last a long time as i have used it everyday for the past two weeks and i've only made a tiny dent. The brow box also comes with a brush and mini tweezers, i feel that these are essential. The tweezers are small but i find this helpful as it is easy to pluck any hairs. The brush is also good quality and is very precise when using.
Underneath is a drawer which holds a wax, im not sure if this is a good wax as i have nothing to compare it to but from using it i know that my brows stay in  place all day and do not move. As you can see i have made a large dent in this from using, i feel that this will run out faster than the powder but i dont think its essential to use everyday.

right brow=product left brow= no product

As you can see from the photo the product is noticeable but it does not emphasize that you have filled in your brows, i think this is a brilliant product and now i feel i need to do my eyebrows. Thank you for reading,

Review: Louise's hair dye

As some of you may know i dip dyed my hair just last week. I thought i would give you a review on the two different products i used.

First i used the Colour Xtreme in colour bubblegum blue, I purchased this from my local Sally's. This was only £6.50 out of sally's however i had to use it three times to get the intense colour i was going for. I thought this wasnt as great as it should be. The picture below shows how bad the product is after three washes. On the side of the bottle it said it should last 6-8 washes.

The second time i thought i should dye over the blue/teal as it looks horrible and some what moldy. The second time i used Schwarzkopf live color XXL from boots in the colour raspberry rebel however there was a ray of different colours i could of chose from . This was only £4.50 and was a much better dye than the colour xtreme one. As you can see below the colour is more intense and that was after the first time of dying it. I was very happy with this product as it was cheaper than the other and had better results.

hope you enjoyed todays review

Review: Benefit Feelin' Dandy Set

Hi, it's Rachel. As part of our summer to do list Louise and I thought that we would get back on track and start our blog back up. We really enjoyed writing posts but we just got a bit busy and there was not a lot of time but now hopefully we will get back into doing some more.

If you know me i'm  always one for cute packaging and something girly so when my auntie bought me this set for my birthday i was over the moon as i just loved the packing. It's called benefit feelin' dandy. It also is really small so you can take it on holiday which is great as this time of the year most people are going on holiday.

As for the make up inside. Brilliant!

First of all there is a miniature size posie tint which will last a long time. Posie is a lovely light pink colour and paired with the blush looks flawless and gives a nice summery glow to your cheeks. It can also be worn as a lip tint and lasts a long time. Since it's a tint its great for summer as it can stay on even if you sweat from the warm weather.
There is also a high beam which is also miniature and i love high beam. If you just apply a small drop it can really go a long way. I think it makes your skin look more healthy and radiant and it can really boost your confidence because you have nice skin. Also, since the weather is nice the high beam will show up more as the days are brighter.
There is also a small dandelion blush, which smells amazing and looks great too. It gives a glow to cheeks making them brighter and it would look good on any skin   I think it would look especially good on people with paler skin. There is also a small blush brush which you can use to apply the blush.
Finally, the last product in the set is a small dandelion lip gloss which is really sheer and gives a lovely natural look its not sticky which is great and hair does not get stuck to your lips as much.

The set also has a tips and tricks book which is great if you want to follow the looks and they do look lovely. The set is great size, all the product are long lasting and its a great price as you are getting more products rather than just buying the one. The set is 25.50 which is a bit expensive but when you are buying more products for the price of one its worth it and i recommend the set so much.
Here is a link to the product here if you would like to read a little more about it or would like to buy it.

Thank you for reading and please stay tuned because we have a lot more ideas for blog posts thank you so much for reading. xx

Snow Fairy Review

Hey guys, its both of us today for our first review, how exciting. We're going to be reviewing the popular lush product Snow Fairy. Lush describes it as "Our winter temptress shower hair and body gel that’s bursting with fruit fragrance and has a sparkle of ice through it."

Snow fairy is a very lovely product that can have different uses. It can be used as shower gel, bubble bath and even shampoo. I wouldn't particularly use it as a shampoo as It is pink in colour and has pearly iridescent shimmer running through it and also It has a very sweet smell that can be related to bubblegum.

This product however is only available in the run up to Christmas and the New Year sales. Unfortunately when we went in on the 27th of December to our local Lush store they had sold out of all sizes even before Christmas.

We like it as we feel that there isn't a residue of chunky glitter left on your skin after you have used it. We feel It leaves a very nice thin layer of shimmer which is very appealing. We look forward to Christmas as that is one of our favourite scents and which we now both relate to Christmas as it is not available to purchase at any other time of the year.

You can purchase these all at lush, they come in different size of 100g, 250g and 500g. The smallest is £3.50, medium is around £6 and the large is around £10.

This product is well known in the beauty community and we felt it was worthy of a review as we will be repurchasing it for years to come. Hope you liked our first review we shall post very soon, love Rachel and Louise, xx
