September Music Favourites

First of all I'd like to apologise for our lack of posting, we started school mid august and that has been our main priority however I would like to say that we will be posting hopefully once a fort night. So now onto my favourite music of September.

Okay, first things first. In the last music post I talked about The 1975 and how there new album was coming out soon, well it's out and guess what? It's amazing. Favourite song is 'she way out' along with the ones mentioned in my other music favourites.

I also heard London Grammar for the first time this month. The songs 'Hey Now' and 'Wasting my Young Years' are my favourites but I also have a few others. These are definitely more chilled and relaxed songs.

Tom Odell. First time I heard/seen him was on the Brit awards at the start of this year. A few months after one of his songs was free on iTunes and that's when I started listening to him. I haven't got the full album but have got most of it, and his talent is extraordinary. You should all definitely check out the songs 'Sirens' and 'Grow Old With Me'.

And You Me At Six are back after a while. No denying but I have been stalking/keeping up with them when they were in LA and let me tell you I was so jealous of the house they were staying in, the big swimming pool and just everything. So 'Lived a Lie' came out and it's brilliant.

Arctics monkeys have also released there new album, I'm not that much of a fan however the song 'Do I Wanna Know?' is super and I love the sound of the instrumental.
And who can forget 'Best Song Ever' by One Direction. I will secretly admit that me and Rachel went to see the movie on the day it came it out and no denying it was great.

Thank you for reading hope you enjoyed this post and listen to some of the songs recommended,

Things That Make Me Happy #4

Woo, it's the best time of the week. My Things That Make Me Happy Post, I love doing these. It's sometimes hard to find good pictures but now since i've started to do these I can find cute pictures during the week. Louise really want's to do one of these posts but way before the blog was created I 'bagsyed' doing this- maybe one week she can do her own special one.

This bedroom is so pretty. I really like the colour scheme and the decorations. It's such a girly room because of the lights and flowers on the wall. I also really like the small New York poster and the drawers and cupboards. They look vintage and cute.

This is a really pretty outfit that I seen on tumblr. I really like the 3/4 length denim shirt. It also looks very girl too and I like the skirt a lot.

As most of you may know I have a bit of an obsession with pretty little liars. I love it so much and each episode is so gripping. The four main girls are so lovely and I really like each story line. I've done a pretty little liars tag on this blog so if you also love the show, you should check it out.

As for my weekly picture of a puppy. I'm such a dog person and love puppies. This one is so cute and fluffy. It has cute little eyes too. (How many times can I say cute?)

I really like these nails. I really like the girly light pink paired with the gold, it makes them stand out and look amazing. I also like how they are such a nice shape, they are not too long or too short. They are the perfect length.

I love how there has been the whole 'ZALFIE' thing this week. I love Zoe and Alfie together. Alfie is just lovely and look at his little face- aww. I love him and he seems so nice and I would love to meet him in real life. I would have such a fangirl moment.

I read this quote out to louise and she said 'that is so you!' I love shopping and clothes and when I get money it is usually spent on clothes. I swear I am not a shopaholic.... I think.

I really like the colours in this girls hair. I also really like this hairstyle its so pretty and would love to have thicker hair so i could actually pull this off. If i were to attempt this the plait (if that's how you spell it) would fall out straight away.

How nice do these pancakes look? I would literally go through these pancakes in 2 seconds because they look amazing. I love strawberries, pomegranates and pancakes but together like this would just be a dream. I love food too much...

Thanks for reading this post, maybe louise will do her own edition of this next week but I don't know because I like doing these, haha. If you do these types of posts please leave a comment below because I love to read them. Thank you again and please let me know in the comments what's something that has made you happy this week?

Back To School with Louchelle

So we thought we would start a back to school series so here are my new school shoes.

I got these from Schuh for £50 by the brand Hush Puppie. My Mum thought it would be best to buy more expensive shoes that will last rather than buying cheap pairs that only last a few months. Most of the other shoes by this brand aren't my cup of tea but i thought these looked very cute and girly.
The cut out at the side reminds me of a sunflower, i think this makes them look very pretty and different. I love how there is a strap across your ankle with a bunkle to secure so your shoes are less likely to slip off. I wore these shoes to an interview today and so far they are really comfertable.

Hope you enjoyed this and are looking forward to our next back to school post,

Marc Jacobs Dot| Review

Hi everyone today i'm here with a review about a very well know product in the blogging community. It's the Dot perfume by Marc Jacobs. I have seen quite a few bloggers talking about their first impressions by the new honey perfume but as I am nearly finished with Dot I though I would give this a good review.

First of all I love all the colours on the bottle, they stand out and are kind of retro. I only got the small size in this perfume as it was a present and I did not know if I would like it or not. The full sized bottle looks much more elaborate and detailed but this one is cute and dainty. I really like the pearl and the butterfly it makes it look girly and eye-catching. In my opinion Marc Jacobs never fail with their perfume bottles.

The smell is amazing. Its got a couple of floral notes but its very fresh and is great for anytime but I think it's a spring/summer designed scent. I would wear it anytime. I really like how the smell is not to overpowering but will last for a long time. I'm one of these people who get a sore head when a perfume is too strong but this one is fine and does not give me a headache.
Im usually into more fruity perfumes and sweet scents but I really like this smell a lot.

According to the perfume shop website, the perfume is described as being "Dot is a lush juicy floral - happy and vivacious. The top captivates with a delectable blend of red berries, succulent dragon fruit  and sweet honeysuckle. The lush floral heart of the fragrance blooms with addictive jasmine mingled with energizing notes of coconut water and orange blossom. The scent rounds out with a feminine dry down of creamy vanilla, driftwood, and sensual musks."

I think the reason I like this unique scent is because its wearable and because it's light. It's good for school and you can smell the hints of vanilla and blossom in the perfume. I love the packaging to and I think this perfume is brilliant (as you can probably tell by the amount if it i have left)

You can buy this perfume in just about any perfume store as it's pretty popular. On the website the perfume size I have is £38.50 which is a bit pricey but it's a lovely perfume and it lasts a very long time. You can also get it in bigger sizes but it's about 10 pound more.

Thank you for reading my review, please let me know in the comments what's your favourite perfume at the moment. Thanks again, bye!

Favourite Summer Lipstick

So as you already know i am a big lipstick person so i thought i would give you a quick review of my favourite lipstick that i've been enjoying over the last few months. In April we went to Glasgow for Rachels birthday, as usual Rachel persuaded me to buy something, this being the MAC lipstick in 'Costa Chic' costing £14.
As you can see the colour is a very bright coral, and i find coral suites most skin tones especially after you have acquired a tan. This is in the permanent MAC range and is a frost finish. Im not a big fan of the frost finishes but i think this one is very discrete and can be muted by blotting with a paper towel.

The lipstick comes in the usual bullet packaging and comes in the black cardboard box. Hope you enjoyed reading this quick review,

Things That Make Me Happy #3

Hey everyone. Woo, the third Things That Make Me Happy post is here. I get really excited about doing these. I know that's kinda sad but I'm a really sad person. If you haven't seen the last one, you can check it out here. Ok, now on with the post.
I think this desk space looks so cute. I really love how organised it is. The fairy lights also make it look girly and just lovely in general. All the pastel neutral colours and the apple iMac is just beautiful. I know it's only a computer. Also, the Sephora bag really makes you wish that the UK had a Sephora. I want to go makeup shopping so bad.

I always really love quotes which talk about inner beauty. I found this quote on we heart it and thought it was a really nice.

Fabulous ♥♥ | via Tumblr
I've seen a lot of pictures of people doing this. I think it's called paddle surfing. This picture makes me want to do it so much and the water in this picture just looks lovely. I really want to go to LA and just do this and swim.

How pretty does this look, it looks lovely (I say this about everything). I think it's strawberry sorbet but it looks so yummy and perfect for the summer. Or in my case, all year round. woo!

Now it's the man of the week. Niall! I know most people don't like one direction and think their fan's are all like 12 but I love them. Niall looks gorgeous in this picture and he is in a suit which makes him like 1,000,000 times more attractive. If that was even possible. I love guys in suits.

I've always loved King Charles Cocker Spaniels. I think they are so cute- I think all puppies are cute. I think this picture is adorable and the puppies little nose, one word- aww. I love them so much.

I went to Rome in June and loved it, this picture I found on we heart it makes me want to go back. It was such an amazing experience and Rome is such a beautiful city. I'm definitely going back when I get the chance all the architecture and history was just incredible.

I really like messy buns but I always think that my hair is so flat to do a decent one. I think this hairstyle is so pretty and can really make an outfit girly or tie it together.

Ok now for the shocker. I don't really like tattoos  I think that most look really nice on other people- but not on myself. I think meaningful tattoo's are such a great way to remember someone as it's always on you- just look at it everyday. I really like this tattoo in the picture I do think its a bit big but I love infinity symbols in general and I also love the bedding. I know that's not what the main focal point in this picture is but I like it. If I were to get it, I would just get the infinity sign on my finger so it's small but pretty at the same time.

Thank you for reading everyone. Please link your blogs below and let me know what's something that has made you happy this week.

Beauty VS. Brains Tag

I've always liked the idea of this tag and I have always been really interested in doing it for a while. It was quite popular on Youtube a while back and seemed quite fun to do- like most tags so I thought I would try it. I really like doing tags as it's good to get to know someone and I think this is the best way through our blog.

1. What is your favourite book?

I do read books but not as much as a lot of people. I would my favourite book would have to be the fault in our stars by John Green because I was so attached to the characters and it managed to make me cry. It was an amazing book. I also really like the hunger games but I feel that the fault in our stars was top of my list.

2. Which mottos do you like saying a lot?

Fashion over function. I've got bigger fish to fry. Build a bridge and get over it. You can't have a better tomorrow if you don't stop thinking about yesterday. Even though everyday may not be good, there is something good in everyday.

3. Which do you prefer: English or maths?

I don't really like either to be honest. I would have to say English though, I enjoy the classes and the subject as a whole much better. I feel maths you have to think a lot more and if you know me you will know i'm terrible at maths.

4. Which do you prefer: science or art?

I love art, I've always loved it. I really like the subject and feel it's a subject which makes me a bit more confident. I also think drawing and doing art relaxes me and that's really nice. I do like science but like maths I think it's a subject which requires you to think a lot more. I love science so much more than maths though.

5. Name 5 albums/artists that have changed your life.

I'm not a huge fan of music, I do like it but I don't think that a particular album has changed my life. There are songs that cheer me up and mean things to me though but again it's not really a lot. As sad as I am I like One direction and I can actually feel people following our blog right now. I just like certain songs because they remind me of certain things for example 'what makes you beautiful' that played when Louise, Rachel, Hayley and I were in Edinburgh for winter wonderland. I also love Adele sky-fall because it was in James Bond and I loved when my family and I went to see that at the cinema together. There are many more songs I like that I associate with a memory but not an album or an artist.

6. What were your favourite and least favourite subjects at school?

I would have to say my favourite is a tie between product design, I love subect that so much. I also love art too! My least favourite subject would have to be Maths or german. I really don't do languages.

7. Who is your favourite celebrity with a brain?

I think that Emma Watson is really smart and she's lovely (well she seems smart!) . I also like Steve Jobbs because he created apple and apple have beautiful products. I love computers and technology.

8. What is your nerdy secret?

I always remember what people are wearing and were they have got it from, I love shops so It's easy for me to remember stuff like that. I also really like to just sit and colour in a picture, it's really ralaxing in my opinion. I also remember certain dates easily like birthdays and my friends parents birthdays. That's really weird but for some reason I remember it. I also find it really fun to make up rhymes to remember an important peice of information. Like in chemistry i still remember 'A solute is what you put and a Solvent is where it went' I really like funny things like that.

9. Who are your favourite beauty/fashion gurus that you admire for more than their beauty/fashion sense?

I really like Ingrid a.k.a MissGlamorazzi on Youtube. I think that she seems like a really nice person and I admire her because of that. I also really like Louise because she is also a lovely person but I love her blog as she's a really create writer and she's passionate about it and puts a lot of effort into it. I also admire Louise as she always gives of a positive vibe. She is very optimistic and always sees the best in things. I don't most of the time.

10. If you could study anything anywhere what would you study and where?

Fashion marketing in New York.

11. If your blog wasn't about beauty/fashion what would it be about?

I really like movies and television so maybe reviews on that.

12. Name something that you are obsessed with that other people would find nerdy.

I really like organizing things and I think other people may find that a bit nerdy. I like things to be in order and I order things alphabetically or by colour. I really like product but most people I know really dislike the subject, I love it and love rendering a picture and learning about why certain materials should be used. Yeh :)

13. Name 5 people, excluding friends and family that inspire you.

I really like certain designers and I remember learning about Donna Karan and Dolce & Gabbana in art. I really like them and thing that their fashion and some of there clothes are incredible. I also learned about how much work they had to do before they were famous. I think they are inspiring as it shows if you work hard enough and enjoy doing it then good things can happen. Sorry, I can only think of those 2.

14. Who is your intellectual soul mate?

Can I just say EZRA FITZ, please. I know he's a character in pretty little liars but I love him and he's an english teacher so he must be really smart. I don't know how many times I will mention him on this blog. Hmm...

15. Who will you tag?

I tag Louise, the other member of Louchelle. Other than that I tag EVERYONE READING THIS. Please if you do this post leave a link below and I'll comment. I would really appreciate it.
Thank you for reading this. Hope you try it too.

Review: Urban Decay Brow Box

Hey guys so today i thought i would do a review of my most recent makeup purchase. A few weeks ago i went into Debenhams, i was planning to buy the benefit brow zings however i thought that even the lightest colour was too dark for my eyebrows and it is quite expensive at £23.50. So i went to the Urban Decay section and looked there i had been looking at both products for a while just wasn't sure when or where i would buy it. I ended up purchasing the Urban Decay brow box in the colour light for £17 which is still pricey but i knew it would be of good quality due to owning the Naked palette.

The brow box comes with two powders, on the left there is a dark brown and the right a lighter brown which is most worn. I feel that these will last a long time as i have used it everyday for the past two weeks and i've only made a tiny dent. The brow box also comes with a brush and mini tweezers, i feel that these are essential. The tweezers are small but i find this helpful as it is easy to pluck any hairs. The brush is also good quality and is very precise when using.
Underneath is a drawer which holds a wax, im not sure if this is a good wax as i have nothing to compare it to but from using it i know that my brows stay in  place all day and do not move. As you can see i have made a large dent in this from using, i feel that this will run out faster than the powder but i dont think its essential to use everyday.

right brow=product left brow= no product

As you can see from the photo the product is noticeable but it does not emphasize that you have filled in your brows, i think this is a brilliant product and now i feel i need to do my eyebrows. Thank you for reading,
